Overcoming Procrastination
Procrastination can take many forms but in the end it leaves us feeling that:
- We aren’t getting enough done
- We’re not doing enough
- We’re always falling behind and . . .
- We wish we could finally get around to do “it”
Procrastination is incredibly frustrating. Projects don’t get started or finished, calls don’t get made, emails don’t get written, revenue is not generated, etc.
What is Procrastination?
Procrastination is basically putting off things that you could be focusing on in the present moment, usually in favor of doing something that is more enjoyable, or doing things to keep you busy and in avoidance, or doing things that you are more comfortable doing.
It’s time to stop procrastination! Procrastination is FEAR - Fear of the Unknown . . . Fear of Change . . . Fear of Failure. What are you really afraid of? They key to overcoming procrastination is becoming aware and moving through your fear. Then turn your procrastination into massive, creative action!
- Is procrastination a regular part of your day?
- Are you a perfectionist where nothing you do is ever good enough?
- What are your unfinished creative projects costing you?
- What is the result of putting off your purpose and getting organized?
- How much time and energy are you using avoiding certain tasks or doing other busy things instead?

Procrastination keeps you with one foot on the brake. It stops you from being effective. You are either being productive or you are procrastinating. The inner saboteur also keeps you in the fear of procrastination by having you believe; “If only . . . .” or “I’ll feel good when . . . .”
